Open Doors encourages and inspires over 2,000 participants each year from underserved populations by bringing art enrichment experiences and classes to at-risk youth, refugees and immigrants, victims of abuse and more. Projects are tailored to meet specific needs of each population and serve to enrich not only the individual participants, but the community as a whole. Our in-school programs support and connect to core academic content, engaging students in new and innovative ways. Our community-based programs, including after-school and summer offerings, provide enriching, hands-on art experiences to underserved populations.

I am so impressed with how LVA cover so many corners of our community – and many corners that have been forgotten are lifted up by LVA artists, community teams and neighbors.”

– Sadiqa Reynolds, President and CEO of the Louisville Urban League and Louisvillians Who Lead Participant
